One of my photos has been selected in the final shortlist for NME's Photo Awards 2010. It features in the Amateur Live Photography field (for photographer earning under £5,000 a year).
The photo that made it was taken at BeatDay this time last year and was of Crystal Castles front woman Alice Glass as she slumps to the floor during the climax of the opening track. With a beam of light the focus of attention on Glass, adding a lot of emotion to the frame been props of Crystal Castles chaotic stage show a half drunk bottle of vodka and a strobe light.
